MPAC Launches Critical Call to Action — No Blank Check for War: Reject the $100B Iran Funding
The White House has no coherent policy on Iran because it is effectively taking its marching orders from Benjamin Netanyahu. As the Trump Administration continues to bankroll Israel’s war of choice—and now seeks additional funding on top of the $12 billion already spent—the human and strategic costs are mounting by the day. Since February 28, 2026, U.S. and Israeli airstrikes have escalated into full‑scale conflict, flattening cities, targeting schools, and destroying critical civilian infrastructure.
The human cost is already devastating. Early U.S.–Israeli strikes included a deadly attack on a girls’ school in Minab, Iran, which killed over 150 children, underscoring the grave civilian toll and ongoing violations of humanitarian law. Over 1,000 Iranian civilians have been killed by U.S. and Israeli strikes. More funding will only prolong this cycle of violence: more funding means more bombing, and more bombing means more civilians killed.
Even within the U.S. national security apparatus, dissent is growing. Joe Kent, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, resigned in protest, stating that Iran posed no imminent threat and condemning the administration for waging war under pressure from Israel and its American lobby. His resignation highlights the alarming disconnect between Washington’s policy and both U.S. interests and moral responsibility.
Every additional dollar spent fuels a war with no defined strategy, no clear objectives, and no plan for ending the violence. This is not just a policy failure. It is a moral failure, putting innocent lives at risk and undermining both regional stability and American interests for Israel.
That is why we are sending messages to Members of Congress, urging them to vote NO on any supplemental funding that would further fuel this conflict.
