We're excited to announce the upcoming Empowering Voices Benefit Gala: Celebrating Voices Championing Pluralism in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 10. We are thrilled to announce that Ana Kasparian, co-host of The Young Turks, and Cherien Dabis, Oscars-shortlisted filmmaker, will be distinguished speakers at our Empowering Voices Gala.

MPAC will also welcome Imam Taha Hassane and posthumously honor slain Security Guard, Amin Abdullah of the Islamic Center of San Diego at our Empowering Voices Gala in Los Angeles. This moment comes at a time of profound grief for his community and for all of us who mourn the lives lost in the attack on the Islamic Center of San Diego. We do not want their names to become just another headline. We want to remember who they were, honor the lives they lived, and stand with the people who loved them.
