MPAC Condemns Andrew Cuomo’s Islamophobic Remarks on “Sid and Friends” Radio Show
Islamophobia is a bipartisan issue. It is fueled openly by both parties, often perpetuated when politically convenient, and continues to threaten the safety of American Muslims across the country.
Gaza Ceasefire Offers Hope, But Accountability and Leadership Matter. Reject Tony Blair’s Role.
Delegations of Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of the ceasefire which would release the remaining 48 hostages in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian imprisoned hostages and withdraw Israeli troops to an agreed-upon line. The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) welcomes this development as a critical step to halt further bloodshed and ease human suffering. Yet, this pause must serve as a bridge to a lasting ceasefire, not merely a momentary reprieve.

The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) and the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) welcome Senator Rand Paul’s (R-KY) remarks at the September 30 Senate hearing on TSA’s Quiet Skies and Open Skies programs. Senator Paul called for continued oversight, full transparency, and robust safeguards for constitutional rights, including a commitment to further investigate the Program on Extremism at George Washington University. We welcome this measure of accountability and recognize it is only the beginning.

MPAC Condemns The Department of State Policy Provisions Act, which Aims to Silence Dissent and Free Speech of Americans
The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) strongly condemns H.R. 5300, the Department of State Policy Provisions Act, introduced by Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL). While the legislation claims to target “terrorists and traffickers,” its vague and sweeping provisions would give the Secretary of State unchecked power to revoke or deny U.S. passports.

MPAC Condemns Secretary of State Rubio’s Dangerous Targeting of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and American Muslim Civil Society
In an interview with Sid Rosenberg on Sid and Friends in the Morning, Secretary of State Marco Rubio dishonestly and dangerously linked mainstream Muslim civil society organizations—specifically the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)—to terrorism. Responding to Rosenberg’s inflammatory question about designating CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations, Secretary Rubio stated that such designations were “in the works,” an unprecedented comment from a Secretary of State about a domestic institution.

We extend our prayers for Mr. Singh’s full recovery and stand in solidarity with the Sikh community.
MPAC Calls for an Immediate End to U.S. Support for Israel’s Genocide in Gaza
Israel has just announced its plan to illegally conquer Gaza City, an alarming escalation in its ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people. This move would escalate the mass displacement of over 1.2 million Palestinians, most of whom are already enduring man-made famine, disease, and the trauma of relentless bombardment by the Israeli government. The deliberate targeting of civilians and infrastructure is not only morally indefensible, but it is a direct violation of international law.
