Join MPAC for our crucial conversation – The Impact of Gaza at Home.

Our gathering will feature a distinguished panel of experts, including Mitchel Plitnick, a political analyst and President of ReThinking Foreign Policy; Tariq Habash, a former political appointee and policy advisor in the Biden administration who resigned due to its policies regarding Gaza and unwavering support for Israel’s actions against Palestinians; and Arsalan Iftikhar, an internationally renowned scholar focusing on Islamophobia. Together, they will delve into the alarming rise of McCarthyist tactics targeting pro-Palestinian voices, particularly within student groups across colleges and universities nationwide. These individuals, exercising their right to peaceful expression, find themselves unfairly labeled as antisemitic and wrongly associated with foreign adversaries. Furthermore, there have been troubling calls for federal law enforcement to launch investigations into alleged material support.

It is crucial for us to address and combat such intimidation tactics, which not only undermine the fundamental principles of free expression but also unfairly stigmatize legitimate political discourse.
