Policy Bureau

What is MPAC Policy Bureau?

MPAC’s public policy and government relations arm focused on advocacy on issues that most broadly impact the American Muslim community.

What does the MPAC Policy Bureau do?

We inform and shape public opinion and policies impacting American Muslims.

MPAC provides a critically-needed American Muslim perspective on important policy developments by serving as a trusted resource to decision makers in government and policy institutions, we improve understanding and policies at the decision making table.

  • We connect our community to those who shape policy.
  • We build alliances and coalitions with diverse communities to encourage active citizenship.

Hollywood Bureau

The Muslim Public Affairs Council’s Hollywood Bureau changes the narrative of Islam and Muslims in the entertainment industry so that audiences see Muslims as vital contributors to creating social and cultural change in America and around the world. We do this by engaging decision makers and creatives to improve the quality of authentic, nuanced, and inclusive depictions of Islam and Muslims. We also create opportunities for Muslim storytellers to tell their own stories.

MPAC Bureau of Academic Freedom

The goal of the Bureau of Academic Freedom is to build and empower the next generation of leaders who embody the values of justice, pluralism, and civic engagement. MPAC will meet the needs of American Muslim youth who are met with the difficulties of navigating the intricate landscape of transitioning into the professional world while empowering them to exercise their inherent freedoms.

By providing comprehensive training, mentorship, and resources, we aim to equip these future leaders with the tools and skills necessary to navigate the complex landscape of public service and advocate for the need for change.

You can build a future free from fear and bigotry.

Invest in MPAC’s work to improve public policies and perceptions. We’re changing how America views Islam and Muslims.
