At MPAC’s 2021 virtual event we were honored to hear from Jacob Blake, Sr in his keynote speech. In the wake of the shooting of his son, Jacob Blake Sr. courageously rallied against a system stacked against him and other people of color. He joined voices with other families who have been the victims of police brutality and systemic racism throughout a turbulent 2020. As an American Muslim, Mr. Blake, Sr. spoke of the universal values of faith that call upon us to seek justice and urged for us to work together in unity to redouble our efforts to achieve an equitable
