I Am Change: Harnessing Our Collective Power Through Community Organizing

At a time when anti-Muslim hate and rhetoric are rising at alarming rates, our most pressing need is to organize American Muslim communities.

MPAC, in partnership with LA vs Hate, hosted I Am Change: A Community Organizing Workshop, designed to help empower American Muslim communities with the knowledge and skills to influence public discourse, engage policymakers, preserve democracy, and promote a just society where the rights and security of all communities are protected.

Free services and resources against hate and discrimination are available through LAvsHate.org and the hate reporting line at 2-1-1. We encourage anyone who has been a victim of hate to report incidents via these platforms, as these reports help identify patterns of behavior to help policymakers better understand how to address the increase in hate-fueled violence.
