Do you know Rev. William Barber?

The 2017 MPAC Convention keynote speaker, Rev. Dr. William Barber, is a nationally renowned minister, political advocate, architect of the Moral Mondays Movement, and past president of the North Carolina NAACP. Under his leadership, the NAACP made immense progress combatting racial injustice in relation to incarceration, voting rights, and marriage equality.

Rev. Dr. Barber spoke at the 2016 Democratic National Convention and electrified the crowd saying, “Jesus, a brown-skinned Palestinian Jew, called us to preach good news to the poor, the broken and the bruised and all those who are made to feel unaccepted.”
