The year's gala was our most inspiring and hopeful event yet! With 600 guests in attendance, including creatives and executives from entertainment and advertising, we honored people and projects exercising “resistance through art.” The night's honorees were HBO’s The Night Of, Oscar-winner The White Helmets, and The Amplifier Foundation’s #WeThePeople campaign. This riveting film follows a determined group of Syrian volunteer rescue workers, known as the White Helmets, who risk their lives every day to save others from the rubble of airstrikes. They have saved over 82,000 lives, and the film has brought the war in Syria to the attention of millions around the world.
