As the Supreme Court prepares to take up legal challenges to Arizona’s controversial immigration law (SB-1070), MPAC joined more than 50 prominent Catholic, Protestant and Jewish groups in signing an amicus curiae brief arguing for suspension of the law.

MPAC today condemned the intentional killing of Afghan civilians by a US soldier. The soldier reportedly left the US base in the middle of the night and entered a village, opening fire on civilians who were sleeping. The atrocity ended in the murder of several people, including nine children. -
