Washington, D.C. | www.mpac.org | September 18, 2024 — The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), strongly condemns Israel’s recent attacks in Lebanon, which constitute flagrant violations of international law and ethical norms. These attacks not only undermine efforts for regional stability but also exacerbate the suffering of innocent civilians who were also targets of this attack, violating their fundamental human rights and dignity. This aggression resulted in the senseless death of children and other innocent bystanders to the catastrophic war in the region.
We call on the international community to hold Israel accountable for this aggression, which stands in direct contradiction to established international principles that demand the protection of civilian lives. This indiscriminate use of unethical technological terror opens a Pandora’s box of targeted violence that puts every human carrying an electronic device at risk. Israel continues to flagrantly ignore international law and ethical standards.
MPAC again calls on the Biden administration to cease support of Israeli crimes in Gaza and the region. We stand with the innocent people of Lebanon and call for an immediate end to such unlawful military actions.
