Four days into the summit, more than 30 Muslim American undergraduate and graduate students from around the U.S. and Canada have already been able to meet with Kal Penn at the White House, President Barack Obama’s Asian American liaison, Reps. Keith Ellison (D-MN) and André Carson (D-IN) and the State Department.

In an effort to combine the social and political atmospheres of DC, last night, MPAC hosted a Young Professionals Networking Night which opened the door for professional development and an opportunity for delegates to interact with active individuals in DC.

The summit will conclude with a banquet dinner at the Stewart Mott Foundation Gardens where the delegates will be recognized for their completion of the Summit and will be able to reflect on their experience.

For the fifth consecutive year, the Young Leaders Government Summit has continued to be a vessel of communication for our Muslim American youth to express their opinions and engage in the political and civic process.
