MPAC So. Cal. Young Leaders Summit

Are you a high school senior, college student or young professional? On August 5-7, MPAC will hold its third annual Southern California Muslim American Young Leaders Summit. Don't miss your chance to get direct access to leaders in the entertainment industry, politics, and civil rights fields, share your opinions and meet other young leaders.

Apply today and you could be one of the 30 top young leaders in the region to get a chance to experience the inner workings of government, media and civic groups. MPAC's Young Leaders Summits are designed to enhance the civic identity of the participants, and to redefine the face of young Muslim American leaders among the policymaking and opinion-shaping community.

"The Summit showed me that in order for Muslims to be talked to and not just talked about, we need to work on integrating into American culture, collectively and consistently," says Sayeda Fazel, who is an English major at UCLA and alumni of the SoCal Summit. "Much to my surprise, many of the professionals we met with showed a genuine willingness to engage with Muslims. Now it is time for us Muslims to take the initiative and become a partner in these efforts, and continue to work with public officials to advance our place in society."
