Apply Now for Fall 2012 Internship in DC or LA

Deadline: Friday, August 17th

July 27, 2012

Now more than ever, the national dialogue about Islam and American Muslims is an important component of American politics, media and the community.

MPAC offers interested students the exciting opportunity to get more involved in their communities by becoming an intern in our Los Angeles or Washington, DC offices where they can help shape public opinion and policy about issues such as Islamophobia, civil rights, youth engagement and other social issues facing American communities.

Are you interested in making your mark on today’s important issues and getting your voice heard? Then apply to join MPAC’s internship program. We are seeking undergraduate and graduate students for our Fall 2012 Semester Internship Program.

The deadline to apply for this exciting and beneficial chance to work alongside our Los Angeles or Washington DC staff is Friday, August 17, 2012.

Since 1988, MPAC has worked diligently to promote a vibrant American Muslim community and enrich American society through exemplifying the Islamic values of mercy, justice, peace, human dignity, freedom, and equality for all. We have served as a trusted resource to federal agencies, the media, law-makers, and Muslim communities as an authentic voice for American Muslims.

Our prestigious internship program helps develop aspiring young leaders who are committed to making Muslims a vital and contributing component in American society. We provide interns with the opportunity to develop their research skills and leadership skills, and build effective communication skills.  Interns will gain hands-on experience in government, media, community engagement, interfaith relations and Hollywood outreach.

Interns will get the opportunity to build leadership skills through weekly leadership trainings, build effective resumes, networking and building connections and explore the exciting opportunities available in the Washington DC or Los Angeles area.
