Rick Warren Chosen to Give Invocation at Obama's Inauguration

Yesterday, President-Elect Barack Obama announced the Dr. Rick Warren will deliver the invocation at his inauguration ceremony next month. On Saturday, December 20th, the best-selling author and evangelical pastor will deliver his first address to a Muslim audience during the 8th annual convention of the Muslim Public Affairs Council.
Rick Warren, author of "The Purpose Driven Life," hosted the groundbreaking Civil Forum on the Presidency with candidates Sen. John McCain and Sen. Barack Obama, which was broadcast on CNN this summer.
In 2005, TIME magazine named him one of the "100 Most Influential People in the World" and U.S. News & World Report named him one of America's 25 best leaders. The Purpose Driven Life has sold 25 million copies and is the best-selling hardback book in American history, according to Publisher's Weekly.
