Dr. Hathout Delivers Sunday Sermon at All Saints Church in Pasadena, CA
June 27, 2011

This past Sunday, MPAC Senior Adviser Dr. Maher Hathout delivered two Sunday sermons at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena, CA, as part of "Faith Shared" Day, a nationwide initiative to celebrate the common ground that unites Christians and Muslims as children of the same God.
The day began with readings from the Quran and the Bible and continued with Dr. Hathout speaking about love as the cement that connects us all together.
"Once anyone of us walks out of the cacoon of his own group or his own religion, in actuality he or she is acknowledging the majesty of almighty God," said Hathout. "We discover God not in our own alleys. We discover God with all the children of God who took different paths to him. Otherwise, God almighty becomes the property of one group, and, glory be to Him, we are all his property, not the other way around."

As part of All Saints' on-going interfaith work, Rabbi Leonard Beerman, founder of the Leo Baeck Temple, will be delivering the sermon this coming Sunday.
All Saints Church and its pastor, Rev. Ed Bacon, have been continuous partners and supporters of MPAC and the Muslim American community. This is just another step they have taken in engaging the community in bringing all faiths together.
