The 23rd Annual Media Awards Gala Honoring Voices of Courage and Conscience will be held this spring in Los Angeles.

Since 1991, MPAC’s Media Awards Gala has honored artists, actors, activists and executives who use art and media to create enriching and humanizing portrayals of Islam and Muslims, promote diversity and social justice, and inspire action.

“We are fortunate as American Muslims to witness the tide turning from one where we were hard pressed to find anything positive in the media about Islam and Muslims to the diverse representations we see today,” said Deana Nassar, MPAC’s Hollywood Liaison. “Every year, it has become more difficult for us to decide who is deserving of the ‘Voice of Courage and Conscience Award,’ and that in itself is something to make our community proud.”
