MPAC Deploys INS Monitors Nationwide

Team Captains across the country have received organizing kits from MPAC and have watched monitoring training online at www.mpac.org, in addition to downloading organizing resources.
The project is co-sponsored by the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) and the South Asian Network (SAN)
At 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 10, the sponsoring groups will hold a national press conference outside the INS Federal Building in Los Angeles.
Concerned citizens in yellow t-shirts that read, Human Rights Monitor will observe the interview process across the country, and provide services to those being interviewed both before and after the interview.

Why: To stand in solidarity with immigrants that may be detained or disappeared during the INS process, to help document irregularities and to offer to report the whereabouts of detainees to family members after the interview.
