Sign Up for MPAC’s Young Leaders Webinar on ‘How to Write Op-Eds’
August 22, 2012

Join MPAC on Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 6 PST/ 9 p.m. EST will host its monthly Young Leaders Webinar on “How to Write Op-Eds.”
RSVP: Email summits@mpac.org by 2 PST/ 5 p.m. EST, Tuesday, Aug. 28.
Led by Edina Lekovic, MPAC’s Director of Policy and Programming, she will train attendees on the significance of op-eds and what an op-ed should include. She also will walk participants through the process of writing, editing and publishing an op-ed.
This webinar is perfect for beginners who might have not published any op-eds. It will teach them to write their opinions in a professional and appealing way on issues that interest them personally.
"In this volatile season when we've witnessed suspicion, intolerance, and deadly violence, it is critical that American Muslims amplify their voices and share their stories," Lekovic said. "This webinar is a timely and practical opportunity to learn how to share your voice in the opinion sections of all types of media outlets."
Every month, MPAC will host a webinar in order to provide a platform for guidance, expression and thought-provoking dialogue for our Young Leaders Alumni network as well as the general public. Last month, MPAC hosted a webinar on community-oriented policing with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services.
