The Muslim Public Affairs Council's Hollywood Bureau is co-sponsoring two special screening of "Quest for Honor," a moving and compelling documentary exploring the practice of honor killings in Kurdistan. The screenings will be in New York City on Jan. 5 and Los Angeles on Jan. 10. 

The film had its world premiere at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and has been screened at numerous festivals and screenings across the globe, including Kurdistan and Iraq. The film follows the women of the Women's Media Center and the Women's Shelter and the men in law enforcement, government and community, as they work together to try to stop these killings. 

First-time filmmaker Mary Ann Smothers Bruni documents these horrible acts and the people who are fighting to end these senseless killings.
