The special month of fasting, Ramadan, is here.

As in previous years, MPAC Western New York (MPAC-WNY) will host "The Tent of Abraham" for our friends and neighbors.

You are cordially invited to the Eight Annual "Tent of Abraham" and the Fifth Annual "The Walk of Abraham" on Thursday, July 18, 2013.

The 5-mile walk will start at 5: 30 p.m. from the North Presbyterian Church, and the 1-mile walk will start from Heim Middle School. Both will end at the Islamic Society of Niagara Frontier (745 Heim Rd. Amherst, NY) where walkers will then join the "Tent of Abraham" event where a special Ramadan dinner will be provided by MPAC-WNY.

The Amherst Police Department will escort walkers on this journey.

As in previous years, we will collect non-perishable food items and cash donations (matched by MPAC-WNY) for distribution to the needy in our community. Hope you will join in this noble effort.
