This weekend, Dr. Maher Hathout, MPAC's Senior Adviser, and Edina Lekovic, MPAC's Director of Policy and Programming, will be speaking at the MAS 16th Annual Western Regional Convention.

The theme of this year's convention is "Planting the Seeds of Change"

"Have you not considered how Allah presents an example, [making] a good word like a good tree, whose root is firmly fixed and its branches [high] in the sky? It produces its fruit all the time, by permission of its Lord. And Allah presents examples for the people that perhaps they will be reminded." [Surat Ibrahim, Ayas 24-25]

This year's speakers also include Imam Siraj Wahhaj, Imam Suhaib Webb and Shaykh AbdulNair Jangda.

In order to accommodate increasing attendance at the annual MAS Convention, this year's convention will be hosted at the Long Beach Convention Center.
