April 11, 2013

St. Bonaventure University, one of the oldest and recognized universities in the country, has announced that Dr. Khalid Qazi, the President of MPAC-Western New York, will be honored with the Annual Gaudete Awards on April 18, 2013.  We congratulate Dr. Qazi on this special recognition.

"It is my honor to formally notify you that you have been selected to receive the Gaudete Award of St. Bonaventure University," wrote Sr. Margaret Carney, President of the University, to Dr. Qazi. "The standards for this award require that the persons selected be seen as contributing in an outstanding way to the life of the civic community and the church or faith community to which they belong. This is one of the highest awards bestowed by our University and we always take pride in the associations that it trengthens with so many wonderful individuals."

The awards ceremony and the banquet will be at the Hyatt Regency in Buffalo on April 18 at 6 p.m. Other honorees are Msgr. David G. LiPuma and St. Luke's Mission of Mercy.
