Wajahat Ali to Speak at MPAC-WNY Annual Banquet on 6/9

Join MPAC-WNY for its 8th Annual Banquet and Community Service Award on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in Buffalo. This year, MPAC-WNY is presenting its 2012 Annual Community Service Award to the Bishop of the Buffalo Diocese, the Rev. Edward Kmiec

The keynote speaker is Wajahat Ali, an attorney, playwright, journalist, and author of “Fear Inc: Exposing the Islamophobia Network in America," an investigative report published by the Center for American Progress. He also wrote the award-winning play, "The Domestic Crusaders," one of the first major plays about modern-day Muslim Americans published in 2011 by McSweeney's. Ali will be available for book signing at the event.
