MPAC-Ohio Hosts Congressional Candidates Forum

On the night of October 19 MPAC Ohio and the Dayton Mercy Society hosted an educational discussion on "The Issues" for the 2012 election year.

Local candidates from both Republican and Democratic parties participated including Sharen Neuhardt (D), candidate for 3rd congressional district in Ohio; State Representative Jim Butler (R); Ohio House of Representative, 37th district, Caroline Gentry (D); candidate for Ohio House of Representatives, 41st district and  Aaron Bukzkowski, Candidate for Ohio House of Representatives, 42nd District.

The townhall style meeting was moderated by Jason Pierce, PhD, Associate Professor; Chair, Human Rights Studies, Political Science at the University of Dayton.

Each candidate gave an opening statement, followed by prepared questions from Pierce and then questions from the diverse audience present.

This comes as part of MPAC’s “My Faith, My Vote, My Future” campaign to educate and motivate voters to fulfill their civic duty.
