I need your help in making sure that the voices of American Muslims achieves the respect and acceptance it deserves at the national level. With your support, MPAC is enriching America with the talents of Muslims who can help in leading our country closer towards the values of mercy and justice.

Earlier this year, the White House announced it would no longer use the phrase “Islamic extremism” because it wrongly and unfairly associates Islam and Muslims with extremist ideology. This is a result of our engagement with the White House and federal agencies. Now, our children will no longer have to hear their religion associated with acts of violence from our government. That’s social change.

This fall, we led a coalition of civil rights and faith groups to stop a new federal law enforcement program with the stated aim of rehabilitating and monitoring adults and children identified as at-risk for violent extremism based on religious and ethnic stereotypes. We voiced our opposition to Attorney General Loretta Lynch based on constitutional freedoms. The program was suspended and our rights secured. That’s social change.
