Today, ISIS published a gruesome five minute video showing the mass beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians on a shore of the Mediterranean Sea. The killing of these innocent captives highlights that ISIS has expanded to commiting atrocities outside of its core territory in Syria and Iraq into other states in the Middle East region. The recent killing further displays ISIS' misguided and destructive nature whose mission seems to be nothing but chaos amongst innocent civilians

"My deepest condolences to the members of the Coptic Christian community," said Haris Tarin, Director of MPAC's Washington, DC, office. "I am deeply sorry and disturbed to have heard the news of what has taken place in Libya by DAESH. Nothing can explain tragedy and barbarism like this. We stand with people of all faiths and backgrounds in their time of need as we call on others to stand with us in our tragedies! Hate must have no excuse!"
