Ramadan Mubarak to you and your family!

I know you’re hungry. I am too. But I’m not just hungry for food - I’m hungry for change. Over the past year and a half, families have been divided, communities targeted, and millions worried about what may be coming next. As the Quran states, “God does not change the condition of a people until they change the condition within themselves.” (13:11)

During this holy month, as we strive for inner change, let’s challenge ourselves to create social change too. Please consider a gift of $250 to MPAC to help us reach our $150,000 goal. Your donation is zakat-eligible and is tax deductible.

We are on the front lines of change, countering divisive policies and improving the perceptions of Islam and American Muslims. We are making progress by:

• Meeting with Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg to address hate groups targeting our community and advocating for better representation of American Muslims
• Pushing back against the Trump administration’s Muslim Ban variations by filing legal briefs in federal courts and appearing on national media to sway public opinion and promote civil liberties
• Joining the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights to collaborate with other advocacy groups around a shared commitment to a more open and just America
• Investing in future civic leaders through our Congressional Leadership Development Program to amplify the American Muslim voice in government
• Improving narratives of American Muslims by consulting on blockbuster films and TV shows to create authentic and nuanced portrayals of Islam and Muslims
• Partnering with major networks & studios to empower American Muslim creatives to tell our own stories
