• Together we can defund the Muslim Ban

    We held a Congressional reception with nearly a dozen Members of Congress who are actively working against this bigoted policy. Rep. Judy Chu and Sen. Chris Murphy, among our attendees, introduced new legislation to defund the ban. This bill will make the ban unenforceable.

  • In Memorium: Dr. Sulayman Nyang

    Dr. Nyang was a major figurehead in the evolution of many important American Muslim organizations, who passed away on November 12th, 2018. The American Muslim community remembers his legacy as a professor and former chair of Howard University's African Studies Dept, former deputy ambassador of the Gambia Embassy in Saudi Arabia, 2005 MPAC Convention speaker, author, and mentor.

  • Turning the Tables on Hate

    When a Southern California Muslim woman was reported to and stopped by the police for no other crime than walking down the street in a hijab, she turned the tables on hate with MPAC President Salam Al-Marayati and 40 other community members, by holding a press conference offering gratitude and calling for greater education and understanding.
