Vote on No Ban Act Delayed

We'll keep pushing for a vote

March 12, 2020

Today, the House was expected to vote on the No Ban Act, a bill to defund the Trump administration’s Muslim Ban and make it harder for future administrations to pass similar bans. However, as the House refocuses their attention on emergency legislation to address the novel coronavirus, we now expect there to be a delay on their consideration of the No Ban Act. This is disheartening news; we and our partner organizations had hoped the House would vote on this bill before embarking on a prolonged recess. We demand Congress to vote on the No Ban Act after their return from recess.
