Raahima Shoaib

Development Coordinator

Raahima Shoaib joined MPAC as the Development Coordinator after she graduating from the University of California, San Diego where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Political Science. Raahima is a former MPAC government and communications intern as well as a Government Summit alumni. During her internship, Raahima worked on communications strategy, community outreach and engagement as well as engaging local government officials with MPAC's goals. Her experience with MPAC inspired her to get more involved in organizations that work to improve the image of the average American-Muslim through grassroots efforts as well as through policy changes.

As a student Raahima was very active on campus with leadership roles on campus education retention and access groups like the Student Promoted Access Center for Education and Service (SPACES) and the Muslim Students Association (MSA). In this past year Raahima has been working at a year-long internship with the district office of US Congressman Scott Peters where she focused on community engagement, database management and learning about policy making.
