Blake Wood
Director of CommunicationsBlake Wood serves as the Director of Communications at the Muslim Public Affairs Council, where he applies his extensive expertise in digital advocacy, public policy, and technology to advance MPAC’s strategic communications initiatives.
Prior to joining MPAC, Blake built a distinguished career at several technology start-ups in Washington, D.C. As one of the first Customer Success employees at Phone2Action, a leading civic engagement platform, he worked closely with Fortune 50 companies, national nonprofits, and advocacy organizations, helping them transform and elevate their digital communications and membership engagement strategies. Most recently, he held communications and data-focused roles at BuildWithin, where he contributed to innovative apprenticeship and workforce development initiatives.
Blake grew up in a military family, living in multiple states and countries. He holds a Master’s degree in International Security and Conflict Studies from Dublin City University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Asian Studies from Furman University.
In addition to his work in communications, Blake is passionate about music and traveling the world with his wife and son. He is an avid DC sports fan, with the exception of the NFL where he remains loyal to the Denver Broncos.
