Actor Faran Tahir to Speak at MPAC’s Young Leaders Hollywood Summit in June

April 7, 2011

MPAC is proud to announce that Pakistani American actor Faran Tahir will be speaking at the MPAC Young Leaders Hollywood Summit this June in Los Angeles.

Known for his roles in “Iron Man,” “Star Trek” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” which he received an MPAC Media Award for last year, Tahir is a third-generation actor. He originally attended University of California, Berkeley, with plans to get a business degree, but ended up creating his own major to pursue acting. He then received a graduate degree from Harvard University.

See our exclusive sit-down interview with Tahir (or scroll down & press play) as he shares his experiences, his advice and the importance of Muslims getting involved in Hollywood.

The MPAC Young Leaders Summits will expand three-fold this summer, offering Muslim American college and graduate students with a transformative opportunity to make their mark in government, the entertainment industry and the news media.
