Anti-Defemation League Declares Support of the Muslim Community
April 25, 2003
The Anti-Defamation League expressed its outrage regarding the apparent hate crime against the Muslim community at UCLA Medical School.
ADL's Regional Board President Bruce J. Einhorn stated: "We condemn these cowardly acts and extend our steadfast support to the Muslim community and the staff of UCLA. A hateful act against one religious group is an affront to all of us. It is therefore incumbent on all of us to stand together and declare that hate is not welcome in our community. Further, we urge all appropriate law enforcement agencies to vigorously investigate these offenses against the dignity of UCLA and the Islamic faith."
The League is extending its support and resources in the area of hate crime prevention and response to officials at UCLA to promote pluralistic and cohesive community on campus.
