Know a Muslim College Student? Then this Scholarship Might Be for Them!
January 13, 2011

To help students (and parents) pay for the high cost of education, the Islamic Scholarship Fund (ISF) awards annual scholarships ranging from $1,000 - $10,000 to students for the 2011-2012 academic year.
Watch the video below with MPAC President Salam Al-Marayati speaking about this scholarship fund.
ISF is a non-profit organization that provides academic scholarships to Muslim students in the United States who pursue college and post graduate degrees in humanities, social sciences, liberal arts and law. If you know a student who fits this bill, then pass along this application to him/her. The deadline is March 21.
"I believe that the Islmaic Scholarship Fund is one of the most important projects for the Muslim community in America," said MPAC President Salam Al-Marayati during a promotional video for ISF. "On the one hand, it helps raise the competitive level of all Muslims who are invovled in their academic pursuits by giving the investments toward those talented individuals who will help secure our future."
ISF is striving to address the problem of underrepresentation of Muslims in the fields of studies and occupations that make public policy and influence public opinion, such as lawyers, politicians, writers, journalists, film makers and academicians of the society.
Applicants must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements:
- Muslim
- Majoring in humanities, social sciences, liberal arts, or law
- Citizen or permanent resident of US
- Minimum 3.4 grade point average
- College junior standing or above
- Active member of his or her community
