The Islamic Society of North America is proud to endorse (the National Grassroots Campaign to Fight Terrorism ) as outlined in this booklet. As stated in our mission statement, ISNA aims to be an exemplary and unifying Islamic organization in North America that contributes to the betterment of the Muslim community and society at large. We believe that this campaign and its goal of protecting our mosques and our country against terrorism is an integral part of fulfilling our mision.
Attorney General John Ashcroft and FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III recently met with national leaders of Muslim, Sikh and Arab-American organizations to address issues including hate crimes and civil rights violations, and to enlist the assistance of these communities in the current challenges in the war on terror. The Director’s meeting was his sixth bi-annual meeting since September 2001 focusing on the FBI’s commitment to the Muslim, Sikh and Arab-American communities.
The ADAMS Board voted on May 22, 2005 to unanimously adopt the MPAC National Anti-Terrorism Campaign Handbook and follow and implement the guidelines.
The oldest mosque in America announced today that it has endorsed MPAC's National Grassroots Campaign to Fight Terrorism. The campaign is bolstered by this endorsement, which represents significant progress in Muslim Americans' involvement in countering extremism. (Read more...)
