MPAC's 2012 California Proposition Guide
September 19, 2012
For the upcoming California election, MPAC today released its "2012 California Proposition Guide," which gives a faith-based perspective on the 11 propositions appearing on the general election ballot on November 6, 2012.
The decisions Muslims and Californians make in this election will go a long way in shaping the future of this state as issues from taxes, criminal justice and government reform are all on the ballot and the Muslim community’s voice can go a long way in shaping those decisions.
The 2012 California Proposition guide offers background, pros and cons, as well as a recommended vote on each of the eleven propositions along with an audio analysis of each of the propositions.
We have conducted our research by reviewing voting material produced by the state, analyzing the arguments of the proponents and opponents of each proposition and attempting to view propositions from a holistic American Muslim perspective.
Read our guide to further your knowledge on the propositions. We hope this will serve as a useful tool for your community as they decide how to vote.
