Dr. Hathout on Occupy Wall Street: 'They are Not Making History, They are Making Our Future'

November 9, 2011

On Sept. 18, the Occupy Wall Street movement took to the streets in New York as those feeling first-hand America's spiraling economy strove to give voice to their frustrations and aspirations.

Two months later, that movement has grown from New York to Occupy movements all over the country. How do you feel about this movement? Do you know what their overall mission and agenda is? Who is the 1% and who is the 99%?

"We are the 99%" says Dr. Maher Hathout, MPAC Founder and Senior Adviser, in the latest episode of "Straight Talk" podcast. "They are not making history, they are making our future."

Dr. Hathout talks about the Occupy Wall Street movement with MPAC's Hollywood Liaison Deana Nasser in this week's podcast episode of StraightTalk. As one of the first Muslim leaders to voice his opinion about the movement, Dr. Hathout once again proves to be among the most progressive and thought-provoking Muslim leaders of our time.
