On the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, dozens of Los Angeles Muslims organized a free community health fair which served more than 100 local residents at the Islamic Center of Southern California. Led by MPAC Board member Dr. Rahmi Mowjood, the Muslim Serve Community Health Fair provided vision, dental, blood sugar and cholesterol screenings and provided food provisions from the Center's Food Pantry. With the help of American Muslim Health Professionals (AMHP) and UPLIFT Charity, the volunteer physicians also provided one-on-one health counseling.

Meanwhile, inside the Islamic Center hundreds of people of all faiths and backgrounds gathered for a 9/11 Interfaith Peace Vigil to honor the victims of the attacks and uphold America's core values.
