MPAC to Host Screening of ‘Abu, Son of Adam’ on 4/11

MPAC is proud to announce it will be a presenting organization for the feature film “Abu, Son of Adam” (Adaminte Makan Abu) at the 10th annual Los Angeles Indian Film Festival on Wednesday, April 11, at 7:15 p.m. at the ArcLight Hollywood.
Directed by Salim Ahmed and produced by Ashraf Bedi, “Abu,
Son of Adam” was India’s entry for Best Foreign Film for the the 2012
Academy Awards. The film tells the story of an elderly couple, Abu and
Aisa, who work to realize their lifelong dream of going to Hajj.
Exquisitely
shot in the Southern Indian state of Kerala, “Abu, Son of Adam”
transports viewers to a different world in a quiet village that time has
forgotten.Critically acclaimed worldwide, the film will resonate with
anyone who has attempted to turn their dreams into realities.
