Alejandro Beutel to speak at SAALT Circle 9/11 Commemoration

September 12, 2011

Alejandro J. Beutel, MPAC's Government & Policy Analyst, to speak at SAALT Circle about the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

As we mark the 10th anniversary of 9/11, we pause to remember and honor those who lost their lives and loved ones that day. Amidst the devastation and turbulence in the days, months and decade following that day, catalysts for social and political change have emerged.

Communities of diverse faiths have been leading local and national dialogues, building partnerships and coalitions, and exploring the strength in our diversity as we continue to heal as a nation. Join us as we learn about how faith-based organizations became agents of change post-9/11 and how we can sustain collaborative community building 10 years later.

Light refreshments will be served!

RSVP to Swathi Bonda at sbonda@gmail.com or Anisha Shetty at anishashetty20@gmail.com. Check out the Facebook event for the meeting here.

This SAALT Circle is a part of the Rights Working Group's National Week of Action and SAALT's An America for All of Us, national campaigns focusing on the impacts of the past decade since September 11, 2001.
