haris@mpac.orgHaris was raised and educated in Southern California. Haris received his undergraduate degree in Education at the California State University of Northridge. Haris is currently pursing his graduate work in Islamic Theology.
Haris has been active in the Muslim community for the past 10 years. Haris has spoken at various conferences, media outlets and symposiums on the topic of Islam and the role of Muslim American community, Muslim American Identity, US-Muslim World Relations, Role of the Muslim American Community in Policy Formation, Religion and Public Life, and Civic Engagement. Haris has traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and Europe lecturing on various topics. Haris was a first responder to the disaster zone in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He currently resides in Washington DC with his wife, Ghada Khan, and two children.
